The centre is focused on the Flight Curriculum. Children’s play is central to this curriculum framework as an active, exploratory, creative, expressive process, deeply embedded in children’s everyday experiences and through which children participate in, learn about, and actively make sense of their world. We are aiming towards providing children with a variety of loose parts, natural materials to spark the children’s imagination, creativity, and to provoke them with countless hours of exploration. The classrooms been provided with a variety of open-ended materials such as loose parts and natural materials to inspire children’s creativity, imagination, and exploration. We allow children to feel respected and give children the opportunity to do things on their own instead of doing it for them. Children have easy access to all the supplies and materials that can be used throughout their physical learning environment. Classroom materials are thoughtfully incorporated to encourage problem solving, experimentation, exploration and open – ended play.
